This year for #GivingTuesday, help support an animal in need by donating to our Emergency Medical Care Fund or by  becoming a "Champion" for the shelter. You'll have the opportunity to make a fundraiser which you can share with friends, family, and co-workers via social media, email, etc.

We are committed to giving every animal coming into our program the opportunity to receive the urgent medical care it needs to live a long and healthy life. Our ability to provide emergency medical care is critical to our rescue operation; some examples include providing for animals hit by a car who desperately need extensive orthopedic surgeries, emergency cesareans, Inguinal hernia repairs, and emergency surgery to remove intestinal obstructions. Regardless of how an animal becomes an urgent medical case, whether it be through illness, accident, congenital disabilities, or at the hands of an abuser, they have a lot to teach us about patience, resilience, love, and the will to survive despite sometimes overwhelming odds. When an injured animal enters our program, our priority is to ensure that it receives the urgent medical care and attention it needs. Often, we see a complete recovery. Yet occasionally we find an animal faced with long-term medical issues that may require extensive surgeries or rehabilitation to correct.

Building an Emergency Medical Fund will allow us to take in more injured and special needs animals, treat them, and place them into loving forever homes.
